First Draft Finished & New Site!

All right folks, this isn't my first blog post ever, but this is the first one on the new website! It was time for a (cheaper) change, so I took it as a chance to get a fresh start on this blogging thing.

ANYWAY. What's happened since my last post on the old blog? Well, I FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT OF SKRIKARE! That happened around mid November, and no, I did not participate in NaNoWriMo. I just got excited that I was so close to done and made sure to write every night so it did get done.

Now what do I do? I decided to stow the draft away in my desk until March 1st, when I'll take it back out, read it through, and then essentially rewrite it for the second draft. I never imagined it'd be so hard to leave it alone, but I know it'll be for the best! And I already have some ideas for things to change or tweak, so it's not like it's not in my head still.

In fact, it got a new title since I finished that draft. Skrikare: The Living Weapon. Skikare is Swedish for screamer, and honestly I'm in love with this new title. It sounds so much more badass than She Screams Blood did, and just makes a whole lot more sense. I think this might be the title I actually stick with; it just makes me so excited every time I think about it.

March 1st just needs to get here ASAP and then it'll get even more exciting! What are you working on? What draft are you on? Wherever you are in the process, just keep going!!
